In The (NIK) News
Recently, LightAsMagic.com was featured in my favorite software’s monthly newsletter. When the folks over at Nik Software made mention of the 2001 Wine Odyssey processing video, it was as if a flash mob of talented photographers descended on the site. LightAsMagic.com is all about sharing the inspiration of the world through the art of photography (along with the occasional funny story). Of the folks who viewed the video (693 at the time of this post), several left comments or contacted me directly. Of those, a couple had websites where I was able to check out their work. All I can say is the NIK community is full of talent! I thought it would be a good idea to share some of the sites of these great photographers.

As a photographer who is also a software developer, I have very unique appreciation of what the “Brain Trust” over at NIK Software is capable of. If you haven’t checked them out, make sure you do. The suite of tools is worth every penny. Not only does it save time, it enables you to realize your own creative vision.

I couldn’t agree with you more about the success of the Nik product line. There is no other plugin product suite that matches the workflow ease, flexibility and creativity on the market that can currently come close to Nik’s stuff.
One problem I see with “bigger” photogs on the web is they are often sponsored by multiple software companies. Thus, it makes it difficult for them to unbiasedly review any specific plugin product for either LR or PS. Think about it…when was the last time you saw……..state that this was the plugin to get?
I have tried all the major players out there: Nik, OnOne, Topaz, etc.
Nothing comes close to the depth and versatility that the Nik suite offers for LR, PS and Aperture.
